The 365 Project: Antonios (Panagopoulos)

Exhibition
Espace de mémoire
he space of memory stands as an unstable metaphor of time — a field of continuous movement between experience and hope, one that safeguards us from amnesia and apathy.
Antonios’ trajectory within the visual arts has been long and generative, yet he is best known through his inscriptions. Within them, through the subtle alternation of messages, he transforms written language into a semantic narrative of history.
This universal asset — the very foundation of human civilization — becomes the instrument that allows the artist, beyond his pictorial skills, to speak about the essence of collective thought and the shaping of shared emotions between himself and the viewer.
At the same time, it offers him a path of evolution through the most recognizable ready-made in existence.
The work conceived for the Vorres Museum exhibition unfolds as a reconfiguration of this same formal language.
The meanings it carries relate to the narration of the moment and to the persistence of existence itself — an existence that continually endures, reworking its own conquests.
