Workshop for children aged 8–13

How many flowers can we take from the Vorres Museum garden? As many as we like — yes, you heard that right! On one condition: we have to print them ourselves.

The workshop begins with an exploration of the garden, where participants will observe the shapes of leaves, stems and flowers and record them through drawing. They will then simplify and stylise their sketches, transfer them onto foam printing plates, and discover simple printmaking techniques that they can also try at home.

Using ink, rollers and even… kitchen spoons, they will create their own prints and discover how repetition can produce a unique image each time. Together, the group will create a collective poster, while each participant will leave with their own “paper bouquet” of prints.

Bio

Tania Cimatti

Tania Cimatti was born and raised in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. After completing her high school diploma in Modena, specialising in ceramic design, she moved to Norwich, UK, to pursue a BA in Illustration, followed by a Master’s degree in Communication Design at the Glasgow School of Art.

During her studies, she developed a strong focus on printmaking, leading to internships at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice and the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York City.

Tania has been living and working in Athens since 2018. Her practice spans brand design, visual identity, packaging, publishing, fine art printmaking, and art education. Since 2025, she has been an illustration lecturer at Vakalo College of Art & Design.

With a refined visual language rooted in storytelling and craftsmanship, she brings a thoughtful and distinctive aesthetic to both commercial and artistic projects. Her clients include the Vorres Museum, Metaixmio Publishing, Ediciones Carnívora, Métier London, Kathimerini, Poli Cool, and a range of award-winning design studios.

Effie Koukia

Effie Koukia is a brand and experience designer based in Athens, Greece. She holds a BEng/MSc in Product and Systems Design Engineering and an MA in Product Design from Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh.

Her practice spans brand strategy, visual identity and experience design, working across the hospitality, lifestyle, food & beverage and cultural sectors. Research and storytelling sit at the core of her approach, informing the development of distinctive brand narratives and experiences across physical and digital touchpoints.

Alongside her professional practice, Effie teaches Experiential and Environmental Design at Deree – The American College of Greece.

Her work has been recognised by the Design Council UK, TDC New York, ADC*E, European Design Awards, Ermis Awards and MEGA EVGE, and has been exhibited as part of the London Design Festival. Her clients include Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Vorres Museum, William Grant & Sons, and a range of award-winning design studios.
