The artist’s stance: sculpture workshop inspired by the work of George Lappas (Adults)

Sundays, 28 June & 5 July 2026, 11:30-14:30
Voress Museum-The artist’s stance: sculpture workshop inspired by the work of George Lappas (Adults)

Educational workshop for adults

“The artist’s stance is a stance that a person cannot take,” George Lappas, 1992

In this workshop, we will approach the work and artistic process of George Lappas, focusing on the construction of the human figure, movement, and posture. Starting with the drawing of the human form, we will explore expressive body postures, expressive deviations, and the role of scale. We will then use wire, felt, and clay to see how a drawing becomes an armature, the skeleton of a sculpture, and we will complete our small sculptures by covering them with fabric.
