Transparent labyrinths: Collage workshop inspired by the work of Chrysa Romanou (Adults)

PAST
Voress Museum-Transparent labyrinths: Collage workshop inspired by the work of Chrysa Romanou (Adults)

Educational workshop for individuals aged 65+

In this workshop, we will become acquainted with the work of Chrysa Romanou, focusing in particular on her early collages as well as later décollages created on plexiglass. Through a mixed-media process combining painting, collage, writing, annotation, and the creation of layers through the use of transparency, we will explore methods of composition, the use of materials, and their semiology. Inspired by Chrysa’s critical view of the social reality of her time, we will see in practice how a work, through suggestion and the juxtaposition of elements, can become a commentary on contemporary social reality.
