Moving sculptures, 3D shapes and hugs (Ages 3-6)

Sundays 22, 29 March & 5 April 2026, 12:00-13:15
Voress Museum-Moving sculptures, 3D shapes and hugs (Ages 3-6)

Educational dance workshop (Ages 3-6)

The Vorres Museum organizes creative dance workshops for families with children aged 3 to 6 years old (children attending nursery, kindergarten, and first grade of primary school).

The theme of the fourth cycle is based on works from the Museum’s collection of contemporary Greek art, with an emphasis on sculptures and other three-dimensional works.

The presence and active participation of one parent or guardian for each child is required.

1st meeting:

What is a sculptor and what is a sculpture? Can I become both? Using our body as the main material, we observe its structure, the space it occupies, and explore its endless possibilities for movement. A different surprise material will introduce us to the concept of strength, allowing the body to become a moving sculpture that narrates the discovery of each moment.

2nd meeting:

In the sculptor’s studio we discover materials. Through our senses we learn from them. We embody their qualities and characteristics, dance, and interpret their secrets. And when these materials meet, they converse and tell stories of nature.

3rd meeting:

Straight lines, curves, and angles in space and in the body become points of contact, surfaces of support, handles for holding and embraces. Formations and human compositions create installations and works of art on a small or even large scale.
